UTET 2020 (Uttarakhand Teacher Eligibility Test) exam is organized by UBSE (Uttarakhand Board of School Education). The exam is conducted every year in offline mode in the 2nd Week of December. UTET exam will be conducted for those candidates who want to get appointed as a teacher in the schools of Uttarakhand state.

This exam is divided into two papers UTET-1 and UTET-2. UTET-1 is conducted for the candidates who are willing to become teacher for classes 1st to 5th, whereas UTET-2 is conducted for those who want to teach classes 5th to 8th.

UTET 2020 Registration Form

The registration of UTET 2020 will be offline for both UTET I & UTET II. The UTET Application form 2020 will be available from 1st week of September 2019.

Registration can be done through offline mode. UTET Application form 2020 is available at Head Post offices of District Headquarters of Uttarakhand. Application Form is to be submitted to following address only through Registered/Speed Post:

Application form is like an OMR sheet, after obtaining OMR application form, candidates must have to fill all the details carefully and correctly. Candidates also need to paste a passport size photograph and signature.

Last date to submit UTET 2020 application is till 4th week of September 2019.

UTET Eligibility Criteria & Qualification

Check UTET 2020 Eligibility below before applying:

  • Nationality

The candidates must be a citizen of India.

  • Age Limit

Minimum age to appear for the UTET is 21 years.

  • Educational Qualifications


  • Candidates should have secured at least 50% marks in Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with –
  • 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education.


  • 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education, in accordance with the NCTE.


  • 2 years Diploma in Education (Special Education).


  • 4 years Bachelors of Elementary


  • Siksha Mitra candidates who have cleared two years D.EI.Ed from IGNOU.


  • Candidates should have secured atleast 50% marks in D.Ed/B.Ed


  • Candidates should have secured atleast 45% marks in 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education, in accordance with the NCTE.


  • Candidates should have secured at least 50% marks in Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with –
  • 4 year in Elementary Education


  • 4 years B.A/B.Sc.ED or B.Sc.Ed (passed/appearing).


  • Candidates should have secured at least 50% marks in Bachelor’s degree with –
  • 1 year Bachelor in Education(passed or appearing)


  • 1 year B.Ed(Special Education)
  • Candidates having Graduation degree along with if they have passes or appearing in the final year of 2 years Diploma in Elementary education.
  • Candidates should have secured at least 45% marks in Bachelor’s degree with 1 year Bachelor in Education, in accordance with the NTCE regulations.

UTET 2020 Exam Pattern

Candidates must check UTET 2020 Exam pattern before applying the UTET exam. The exam pattern is discussed below:

  • Exam mode – The exam will be in offline (Pen & paper mode)
  • Paper Language – Paper will be bilingual – English & Hindi.
  • Both UTET I and UTET II papers conducted on 14 December but at different timings so that candidates can be given both exams depend on the eligibility criteria.
  • Marks – UTET I or UTET II papers will be of 150 marks .
  • Time Duration – 2½ hours will be given to solve paper.
  • Marking – No negative marking.

UTET I Exam Pattern

Candidates must view this section as it provides you the name of the subjects which were assigned to the examination.

UTET I (Primary level I to V) will hold for 150 marks and will contain 150 objective type questions.

UTET 2020 Admit Card

UTET 2020 admit card will be released in the first week of November, 2019. Check other details regarding admit card below:

  • UTET Admit Card can be downloaded from the official website easily.
  • Click on the link given for download admit card.
  • Candidates need to login into their dashboard by filling application number or password.
  • Candidates need to enter his/her Candidate’s Name, Date of Birth or OMR Number into the form.
  • Click on the submit button.
  • Admit card appears.
  • Candidates need to cross-check all the details and downloaded it. But if there is any discrepancies having in their admit card they need to contact immediately to the conducting authority.

UTET 2020 Cut Off

Candidates securing marks equal to or more than the cut off would be considered qualified in the exam. Candidates who will appear for UTET 2020 will have to score minimum qualifying marks and different categories have different cut off percentage.

As per the last year cut off trends, the UTET cut off is given below:

UTET 2020 Result

UTET 2020 Result will be declared by UBSE (Uttarakhand Board of School Education). The result will be out in the month of January, 2020.

To check the result, candidates have to log in to official website using their OMR sheet number. To qualify the exam, candidates have to secure equal to or more than the cut off marks prescribed by the Board.

UTET 2020 Selection process

To get qualified in the UTET exam, candidates must have to participate in all the following stages:-

  1. Performance: Participation selection process will be based on the performance of the UTET 2020 Entrance Exam.
  2. Shortlisted: In the Entrance Exam, participants should be shortlisted on the basis of marks scored.
  3. PI (Personal Interview): In the Last round, Participants should be go for the personal Interview.
