Exam Dates for SSC CHSL 2016

Staff Selection Commission is shortly going to announce the notification for SSC CHSL 2016 for the candidates who have completed intermediate from a recognized board or university. Here we are giving the information about the month of announcement of application form, last date for filling the application form and related dates. You can check below the tentative dates for the SSC CSCL 2016.

SSC CHSL Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who want to appear in the SSC CHSL examinations must be eligible for this exam. Given below are the details regarding educational qualification, age limit.

Educational qualification

Candidates who are applying for the SSC CHSL 2016 for the LDC and DEO post must have passed Intermediate or equivalent from a recognized board or university.

Age Limit

The minimum age required for the candidates who are willing for the LDC and DEO posts for SSC CHSL is 18-27 years as on the date of examination. Age relaxation will be allowed for the reserved categories as per the rules.

Application fees

  • Candidates applying for the SSC CHSL 2016 exam have to pay the application fees of Rs. 100.
  • Female/Physically handicapped/SC/ST and Ex-Serviceman candidates no need to pay any application fee. The application fee can be paid offline or online through bank challan.

Examination Pattern

The SSC SCHL Examination for the post of Lower Division Clerk and Data Entry Operator will be held in 2 tiers. The examination consist of written test and skill test for the post of Data Entry Operator (DEO) and written test and typing test for the post of Lower Division Clerk (LDC).

Written Examination

This examination will be of Objective Type. It consists of Multiple Choice questions only. The question paper comprises of four sections General Intelligence, Quantitative Aptitude, English Language and General Awareness.

Skill Test/ Typing Test for Data Entry Operator (DEO) or Lower Division Clerk (LDC)

Those candidates who secured minimum qualifying marks in the written exam can appear in skill test/typing test. This test will be of 15 minutes. Candidates must have a good typing speed of minimum 30 wpm and should have basic computer knowledge. Typing test will be conducted in Hindi or in English candidates have to mention their choices in the application form.

NOTE: There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer in objective type written examination.

How to Apply

Aspirants who want to apply for SSC CHCL 2016 firstly have to download the application form from the official website of Staff Selection Commission. After filling the part 1 of the application form with all the necessary details pay the fees through the SBI generate challan. After paying the fees do the part 2 registration. Upload your signature and a photograph and submit the application.
