SSC CGL 2019 Recruitment: Notification, Application Form, Eligibility, Pattern

SSC CGL 2019 is conducted by Staff Selection Commission of India. It is one of the most desirable organisation for government exams in India. SSC CGL Exam Notification

The SSC CGL official notification will be released in the 2nd week of May, 2019. The CGL notification will contains the complete exam dates and entire schedule of the exam. SSC CGL 2019 Application Form

SSC CGL 2019 online application will start in May and last date to fill the application form is in the month of June, 2019. Candidates can apply through online mode only through the official website of SSC. The mode of payment  is online only. Candidates willing to pay online must pay through net banking of SBI branches throughout the country or by visa card/ credit card or debit card. The fee structure for male General and OBC candidates is 100/- whereas sc/st/pwd/female candidates do not have to pay the application fee.

SSC CGL 2019  Eligibility Criteria

As to fill any form there must be some criteria to be fulfilled by the candidates as is set by any exam conducting organisation and therefore SSC CGL  Eligibility criteria as stated in the official website or the mandatory eligibility criteria is:

Nationality: A citizen of India

Educational Qualification: The candidate should have graduation degree from any stream a government recognized college or university or its equivalent.

Age Limit: the minimum age to apply for SSC CGL 18 while the maximum age is 32 years which may vary for every post.

One wrong answer to a question will deduct 0.5 marks in Paper-1,3,4 and 0.25 marks in Paper-2.

SSC CGL Tier 3 Exam Pattern

This is a descriptive exam with the purpose of testing the writing skills of the candidates in English/Hindi. It is held offline. The candidates have  to write Essay/Letter/Application/Precise.

The duration of this exam is of 60 minutes and carries 100 marks.

SSC CGL Tier 4 Exam Pattern

Tier 4 Exam of SSC CGL Exam  will have couple of skill tests which are necessary for certain government posts.

DEST (Data Entry Speed Test): It is a qualifying skill test for all the posts. It is held to test the typing speed of the candidate. In this test the candidates are given printed material in English which they should type accurately on a computer with a minimum of 2000 (two thousand) key depressions. The duration of this test is 15 (fifteen) minutes.

CPT (Computer Proficiency Test):  SSC will hold CPT, in three modules – Word Processing, Spread Sheet and Generation of Slides.  It will be applicable for applicants of Assistants of CSS. CPT is a qualifying test.

SSC CGL 2019 Syllabus

Tier 1 Syllabus:

General Intelligence and Reasoning: This section tests the candidates verbal and numerical skills basic knowledge is required.

General Awareness: Candidates must have the basic knowledge of the day to day happenings around the world.

Quantitative Aptitude: This section is conducted to test the numerical ability of the candidate, the basic knowledge of the topics like time and work, average, boats and stream, percentage, profit and loss and so on is required.
