PSTET 2020 is a state level teaching test organized to determine the eligibility for the post of teacher in class 1 to 8th. It will be regulated by the State Council of Educational Research & Training (SCERT).

PSTET 2020 Vacancy & Salary

After qualifying the PSTET exam, candidates will get appointed as Govt. teachers in Punjab state after passing interview. Candidates can apply in various schools after the opening of vacancies.

The salary of Post Graduate Teachers (PGT) will be around Rs. 9300 to 34800 with grade pay of Rs. 4800. TGT pay scale will be 9300 to 34800 with grade pay of Rs. 4600.

PSTET 2020 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates can check here the eligibility for PSTET 2020 examination:

Eligibility for Primary Teacher (Class 1 to 5):

  • 12th class passed with minimum 50% and 4 year of elementary education training or.
  • Graduation or appearing in final year of two year Diploma in Elementary Education.
  • Passed 12th with 50% marks and passed/appearing in the final year of 4 years B.El.Ed.

Eligibility for Elementary Teacher (Class 6 to 8):

  • Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed/appearing in 1st year of B.Ed.
  • Graduate and have passed/appearing in final year of 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education.
  • 12th passed with 50% and passed/appearing in the final year of 4 years B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A. Ed/B.Sc.Ed.

  • Child Development and Pedagogy: Concept of development and its relationship with learning, Child Development (Primary School Child), Learning and Pedagogy, Concept of Inclusive education and understanding children with special needs.
  • Language I: Pedagogy of Language Development & Language Comprehension.
  • Language II: Comprehension & Pedagogy of Language Development.
  • Mathematics: Geometry, Shapes & Spatial Understanding, Numbers, Addition and Subtraction, Multiplication & Pedagogical issues.

PSTET 2020 Admit Card

SCERT will provide the admit card only to the eligible candidates. PSTET 2020 Admit Card will be released through online mode.

It will be issued in the last week of December 2020. It is necessary to bring admit card along with one photo identity proof at the exam centre.

PSTET admit card will be issued for both papers. Candidates have to enter their application number and date of birth to get the admit card.

PSTET 2020 Result

The result will be available in the month of February 2021. PSTET 2020 Result will be provided through the website. It will be released in the PDF format.

PSTET 2020 answer key will also be released within a week after the exam. It can be checked through the SCERT website.

The PDF will contain the application number, roll number, category, name, and marks obtained by the candidates in the PSTET exam. Candidates should keep the result safe for further use.
