Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Test (VITEEE 2016) is the engineering entrance exam conducted by the VIT University, Vellore for admission to its more than 15 engineering programmes offered at Chennai and Vellore campus. The VITEEE 2016 is one of the most popular engineering exam after JEE Main in which the engineering aspirants from all parts of the country appear in order to take admission in one of the renowned and top 10 private university of the country.
About the Exam
The VITEEE 2016 will be a computer based test (CBT) and will going to be conducted in the 2nd week of April, 2016. The VITEEE comprises of question from the syllabus of class 11th and 12th and will include the subjects (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics). VITEEE Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit– The candidates should be born on or after 1st July 1994 in order to appear for VITEEE exam.
Nationality– The candidates must be an Indian Citizen or he should be a resident or non-resident Indian national.
Educational Qualification– The candidates should have passed or appearing 12th or its equivalent examination from any recognized board or that’s equivalent with the subjects as Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology with an aggregate of 60% marks (50% in case the candidate belong to SC/ST/J&K Migrants or North Eastern State’s candidates).
VITEEE Application Form
The application form of VITEEE 2016 are available through 1) Online and 2) offline mode, candidates can apply through any of the mode as per their convenience.
Online Mode: Candidates can fill the VITEEE online application form by visiting the official website of the university. Candidates have to register themselves and fill their details in the application form, apart completing all the basic formalities, candidates have to move towards the fees payment.
Offline Mode: Candidates can also fill the form through offline mode, by purchasing the application form from university campus or various application forms country, available throughout the country.
The application fee of VITEEE 2016 is Rs 940, for candidates applying through online mode by using their debit card or net banking facility. For candidates applying offline need to pay application fees of Rs 990, the application fees can also be paid through Demand Draft (DD). The NRI candidate applying for the exam need to pay the application fees of USD 50.
The VITEEE exam will be a Computer Based Test (CBT), candidates will be asked questions from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects, and from the 11th and 12th class syllabus. The exam pattern is given below:
The paper consist of 160 questions, 40 each from Physics, Chemistry, Maths and Biology
Candidates have to appear for 120 questions, as per their subjects in the qualifying examinations
The time duration of the exam will be 2 hours and 30 minutes.
One mark will be awarded for correct answer and there will be no negative marking in the exam.
VITEEE e-Admit Card
Candidates can generate VITEEE e- admit card 2016 from official website of VIT university after slot booking through ‘online test booking system’ (OTBS). The admit card contain many important details of the candidate like Roll no., examination centre etc.
VITEEE Result/Score Card
VITEEE result will be declared by the university in their official website, few weeks after the exam date. You can check your result by entering your roll no and date of birth, more information regarding result will be available later.
