It is a national level screen test for the aspirants desire to get admission in engineering or architecture UG courses offered by many technical govt. or non-govt. institutions and NITs of India. JEE exam is conducted by the JEE apex body of CBSE. This is a tier-1 exam as the tier-2 exam is JEE Advanced 2018, which is a gateway to same courses but in IITs, ISM-Dhanbad and IISc. JEE MAIN 2018 APPLICATION FORM

JEE Main application form 2018 will be available for filling in December 2017 month (as per previous year). You can fill and submit this application form via online mode only. You would be able to get a prior notification about its application form in November 2017 month. You can apply for JEE Main by filling its application followed by the registration. You have to fill your personal, academic and communication details. Adhaar Card is mandatory for make JEE Main 2018 registration. Without Adhaar Card you cannot be eligible to fill JEE Main 2018 Application Form. You have to upload your photograph and signature in jpg format (scanned). After submitting the application form, you can take the print out of your filled application form for further use.

You can pay the application fee via online (through the credit/debit card/net banking) or offline (Syndicate/ICICI/HDFC/Canara Bank in cash) mode. Application fee can be described through the table given below:

JEE MAIN 2018 ELIGIBILITY

You should check the eligibility criteria before applying as mentioned below:

  • You must be an Indian National or Overseas Citizen of India (OCI).
  • You must have a valid Adhaar Card (except belonging to Assam, J&K and Meghalaya state).
  • You must come born on or after 1st October 1993.
  • 5 years relaxation shall be provided in the upper age limit of SC/ST & PWD candidates (i.e. DOB falls on or after 1st October 1988)
  • The calculation of age will be considered on 31st December 2018 (secondary education board certificate will be considered).
  • You must have passed/pursuing 12th (10+2) or equivalent with PCM subjects.
  • English as an elective subject is compulsory in 12th class.
  • There are no minimum marks require to appear JEE Main exam. But if you are approaching for NITs, IITs, ISM, CFTIs then you have to get minimum 75% (65% for SC/ST) marks in board exam or should have in top 20 percentile.
  • You must have passed 12th board exam on or after 2016 year. Appearing (2018) candidates may also apply.
  • If you appeared 12th exam in 2015 but passed in 2016, then after you are not eligible.
  • 10+3 diploma candidates have to appear JEE Main and JEE Advanced exam as they would be eligible to get admission in IITs/ISM/CFTIs.
  • You can attempt JEE Advanced maximum 2 times in consecutive years.

JEE MAIN 2018 EXAM PATTERN

JEE Main exam pattern 2018 is slightly different for paper 1 (Engineering) and paper 2 (Architecture):

JEE Main exam pattern for Paper 1 (Engineering):

  • Paper 1 will be conducted for Engineering (B.Tech).
  • It will be organized in offline (Pen-Paper) as well as online (CBT) mode.
  • There you will find 90 objective type questions of total 360 marks.
  • Questions will be taken from Physics (30), Chemistry (30), Mathematics (30).
  • You can attempt the exam in English or Hindi language.
  • In Gujarat, Daman & Diu and Dadra and Nagar Haveli you can choose Gujarati also.
  • It will be of 3 hours long paper.
  • For each correct response, 4 marks will be awarded.
  • For each incorrect response, 1 marks will be deducted.

JEE Main exam pattern for Paper 2 (Architecture):

  • Paper 2 will be conducted for Architecture (B.Arch).
  • It will be organized in offline (Pen-Paper) mode only.
  • It will be divided in Part 1 & 2.
  • Part 1 will consist of 30 objective type questions from Math of total 120 marks.
  • Part 2 will consist of 50 objective type questions from Aptitude of total 200 marks and 2 questions in drawing comprising of total 40 marks.
  • You can attempt the exam in English or Hindi language.
  • In Gujarat, Daman & Diu and Dadra and Nagar Haveli you can choose Gujarati also.
  • It will be of 3 hours long paper.
  • For each correct response, 4 marks will be awarded.
  • For each incorrect response, 1 marks will be deducted (from Objective questions only).

JEE MAIN 2018 ADMIT CARD

  • JEE Main Admit card 2018 will be released on March 2018.
  • Admit card will be available via online mode only.
  • You can download your admit card by login with official portal.
  • Admit card will be contained with your personal identity, centre, date & time of exam.

JEE MAIN 2018 RESULT

  • JEE Main Result 2018 will be declared on April 2018.
  • Result will be declared via online mode only.
  • You can get your result by login with official portal.
  • Result will be contained with your name, Roll No. & marks.

JEE MAIN 2018 COUNSELLING

  • JEE Main 2018 counselling will be held in June 2018.
  • Counselling will be organized by JoSAA/CSAB (On the basis of AIR).
  • You can appear in counselling by filling a counselling registration form.
  • Allotment of college will be done on the basis of your domicile, rank in JEE Exam, choice filling and seats availability in colleges.
