JEE (Joint Engineering Examination) Main is one and only national level examination for admission to the first year admission in Engineering and Architectural Undergraduate courses as B.Tech and B.Arch. JEE Main 2016 will be a gateway for the students aspiring to the prescribed programmes. JEE Main examination is conducted by the CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education), New Delhi. JEE Main 2016 will be considered by many states of India (Gujarat, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Nagaland, Odisha, etc.) and referred as the permit of admission by government, aided, funded and private engineering and technological college of India including IITs and NITs. However IITs will offer the admission to all shortlisted candidates through JEE Advanced 2016 as the second stage of JEE examinations.

Eligibility details of JEE Main 2016
The eligibility criteria for the JEE Main 2016 is as the following:
- The candidate must be born on or after 1st October 1991. However the SC/ST/PWD candidates will be exempted to 5 year and they must be born on or after 1st October 1986.
- There is no minimum age bar for JEE Main 2016.
- The date of birth will be considered as recorded in secondary educational certificate.
- The aspirants must be passed the 12th or its equivalent examination from a recognized board with minimum 50% marks.
- The candidates must have PCM group in 12th examination as the compulsory subjects.
- The candidates appearing to the qualifying exam are eligible to attend the JEE Main exam, however they will have to pass the qualifying exam before counselling otherwise they will be disqualified.
- Candidates passed the qualifying exam (Intermediate/12th) before 2014, will not be eligible for JEE Main 2016.
- There are just three attempts are granted to every candidate for JEE Main examination.
- Candidates failed in qualifying exam in 2013 and passed again in 2014, will not be eligible for JEE Main 2016.
JEE Main 2016 Registration
JEE Main application form will be obtained through the registration process done by the candidates on the official website of the board or the apex body of the JEE Main 2016. The application form will be available on the official website of the board. The candidates would be register themselves on the official site and will obtain the application from after successful registration.
JEE Main 2016 Application Form
JEE Main 2016 application form will be available via online only on the official website of JEE Main examination. The candidates would have to fill the particular of application form and upload the scanned images of signature and photo and other (If required). The candidates would have to submit the application fee through the proper mode and submit the form online on the official site. Before submitting the application form, candidates must see their filled application form once and take the print out of the same for the further reference. The applicants should save their user ID, Password and print out of the filled application form/confirmation page for the further reference.
Application Fee of JEE Main 2016
The application fee of JEE Main 2016 will be remitted through the debit/credit card or the e-challan of the prescribed bank. There are two modes of remit the application fee. The application fee is variable as per the categories and papers as following:

Besides dealing with carefulness while filling the application form, many applicants make mistakes in their application. Such mistakes can cause the cancellation of the candidature. Therefore JEE Main conducting body facilitates to the candidates by providing them a period to make the correction in their application form by using their user ID and password. That correction date will be notified to the candidates through the official site.
JEE Main 2016 Exam Pattern
There will be two papers as paper 1 for B.Tech and paper 2 for B.Arch. Both papers will be asked in English language only. Candidates can avail anyone or the both papers. Each of both papers will be of 3 hours.
Paper 1 for B.Tech:
Paper one will be scheduled for the admission to B.Tech programmes. The paper will comprise in 90 objective type questions equally from physics, chemistry and mathematics. Paper one will be asked through two modes as pen and paper based test or computer based online test. Each correct answer will be awarded with 4 marks and each wrong answer will be punished with deduction of 1 mark. No marks will be provided or deducted for unanswered question.
Paper 2 for B.Arch:
Paper 2 will be divided in three sections and asked in only one mode as pen and paper based test. Section one and two will be of objective type based on mathematics and aptitude skill subsequently while section three will be for drawing skill.
Admit Card of JEE Main 2016
The JEE Main admit card will be available on the official site of the JEE Main on first week of March 2016. Students should get their admit card on the prescribed date given by the board for the admit card. The admit card will contain the name of the candidate, roll number, venue of the exam, time of exam and mode of exam.
Result of JEE Main 2016
The result of JEE Main 2016 will be available in the month of June 2016 on the official site of the board and the notification for the result will be announce by the national newspaper of India. Before announcing the result the board will declare the answer key of the exam. After declaring the result, the board will announce the score card and rank card that will be considered as AIR (All India Rank).
Counselling of JEE Main 2016
The counselling schedule of the JEE Main will be announced during the month of July 2016 through the apex body of the JEE Main on the official site. The details will be provided to you on the prescribed time by the board.
