AIIMS 2016 – Application Form, Exam Pattern and Eligibility Criteria

aiimsAIIMS (All India Institute of Medical Science) is one of the prestigious exams in India dedicated to the admission in MBBS courses offered by the 7 AIIMS institution across the country. However the examination is also conducted by the AIIMS, New Delhi.

About AIIMS 2016 Examination

The examination is referred to the All India level examination. AIIMS 2016 will be conducted in June 2016 and the application form will be available online in March 2016. The examination will be conducted for around 672 seats in all 7 AIIMS in India.

AIIMS 2016 Eligibility Norms

The candidates should meet the following eligibility norm to appear the AIIMS 2016 entrance examination:

  • The candidates must be an Indian only and belong to any state with domicile as nativity certificate.
  • The candidates should be competed the age of 17 years as on or before 31st December of the year of admission.
  • The candidates should be completed the 12th class or its equivalent from any government recognized board.
  • The candidates should have Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English in qualifying examination.
  • The candidates must be secure minimum 60% marks for general and OBCs or 50% marks for reserved categories.

AIIMS 2016 Registration

The AIIMS 2016 will be notified to announce in the month of March 2016 through the official site of the board. The application notification will also be available through the national newspaper of the country. The application/registration form will be available after the announcement of the notification on the official site of the AIIMS portal.

How to Register for AIIMS 2016

The candidates will have to make the registration online in the portal by entering their details in correct and prescribed manner. The candidates will have to remit the application fee through the bank challan of any branch of SBI bank or net banking or debit/credit card. For the year 2016, the application fee will be Rs. 1000/- for general and OBC candidates or Rs. 800/- for SC/ST candidates. The OPH (Orthopedic Physically Handicapped) candidates will be exempted to application fee. This is to be informing the candidates that incomplete forms and forms with not supported with fee will be rejected and no communication will be entertained. Candidates should download and save the registration slip till the completion of admission process.

Examination Pattern of AIIMS 2016

The examination will be asked in Hindi and English language only. It will be a Computer Based Test (CBT) Candidates will have to choose the medium of language during the application for this exam. The examination will contain 200 MCQ from Biology, Chemistry and Physics. The examination will be of 3 and half hour. Each right question will carry one mark while 33% mark will be deducted for wrong answer.

AIIMS Admit Card

The admit card will be available on the website of AIIMS portal and on all AIIMS’s official website as well. The admit card will be uploaded 15 days prior to the examination on around third week of May 2016. The admit card will be produced with the information of exam time, venue and roll number. Candidates may download their admit card by online. If admit card is not available on site, candidate may communicate with “Assistant Controller of Exams, AIIMS, New Delhi -110608” along with full particulars of the Registration Form.

AIIMS Result

AIIMS 2016 result will be announced in the third week of June 2016 on the official portal of AIIMS examination. Candidates may download their result by using their roll number and name. The result will also be available on the all seven AIIMS official site.

AIIMS Counseling Schedule

Counseling schedule will be started in the first week of July 2016 and that will be held in three stages. Selected candidates will be gone through the medical examination. The final allotment will be declared by the official site in August 2016.
