CBSE Board: Central Board of Secondary Education

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is one of the most prominent & largest education boards in India. The board headquarter is located in New Delhi.

It is a national level board for both public and private schools and is managed by the Union Government of India. The CBSE board was formed on 3rd November, 1962 since then, CBSE has affiliated more than twenty thousands schools in the country.

Every year thousands of students appear in the CBSE board exams, conducted in the month of February & March. CBSE Board is the highest exam conducting body in the world.

Roles & Functions

The main function of CBSE Board is to provide quality education and learning skills to students.

It adopts various innovative methods to achieve academic excellence.

The board also focuses on the improvement of teaching skills and innovation in teaching-learning methodologies.

The CBSE board also conducts various programmes to improve professional competency of teachers.

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE)

The Uttar Pradesh Board of High School and Intermediate Education was the first board to be set up in India in 1921.

This board later became the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in 1962. It is a Governmental Board of Education.

It has adopted tremendous ways to improve the quality of education since last 56years. CBSE also affiliates all the Kendriya Vidyalayas and Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya.

CBSE Syllabus

The CBSE board provides syllabus not only for Class X and Class XII but it also refer NCERT books for all the classes from class 8th to class 12th.

An academic curriculum is also provided by CBSE according to which the marks of the students are also decided by their performance in class.

CBSE Class 10th and 12th Date sheet

The exam date, date sheet and timing of the exam are released by CBSE every year before the exams in their official site which proves to be very helpful for the students.

Generally, the Board releases the date sheet of Class 10th and Class 12th in the month of December.

CBSE Class 10th and 12th Results

The result of examinations is released in the month of May. Every year, thousands of students appear in the CBSE board exams.

The promotion criteria of CBSE board are to achieve minimum 33% marks in each subject and in aggregate.

The students can check the results by entering their school no, roll no, admit card no, D.O.B and name on the site.

The passing percentage of the students from CBSE board has always been praise worthy (from 80% to 90% every year) in both, class 10th and class 12th.
