Assam TET 2020: Application Form, Eligibility, Dates, Syllabus

Assam TET 2020 (Assam Teacher Eligibility Test) is a state level exam organized by Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA), which is a Government of India Mission. Assam TET exam will be held in the month of  September, 2020.

Assam TET exam is conducted for those candidates who want to get appointed for the post of Assistant Teacher, Associate Teacher, Hindi Teacher, Sanskrit Teacher, Classical Teacher in various government, semi-government schools of Assam state.

Assam TET exam is divided into two levels first for lower primary schools and the other one for upper primary schools.

All the interested students must go through the essential information such as application fee, exam pattern, eligibility criteria, result etc.

Assam TET 2020 Eligibility Criteria

Assam Teacher Eligibility Test (Assam TET) Eligibility details are given below:

Nationality

  • The candidates must be a citizen of India.

Age Limit

  • Minimum age to appear for the Assam TET should not be above 38 years. For SC/ST candidates age limit is relaxable by 5 years.

Educational Qualification

For Paper-I (Lower Primary Level)

  • Candidate must have competed his/her class 12th education from a school of a recognized board.
  • Candidate must have cleared all the subjects in his/her class 12th final examinations.
  • Candidate must have at least 50% marks in his/her higher secondary examinations if he/she belongs to the general category.
  • Candidate must have at least 45% marks in the higher secondary examinations if he/she is from a reserved category like SC,ST or OBC.

For Paper-II (Upper Primary Level)

  • Candidate must have competed his/her class 12th education from a school of a recognized board.
  • Candidate must have cleared all the subjects in his/her class 12th final examinations.
  • Candidate must have at least 50% marks in his/her higher secondary examinations if he/she belongs to the general category.
  • Candidate must have at least 45% marks in the higher secondary examinations if he/she is from a reserved category like SC,ST or OBC.
  • Candidate must have completed his/her graduation from a university that has received UGC recognition.
  • Candidate must have secured 50% aggregate marks in his/her graduation.
  • Candidate must have a two-year B.Ed (Bachelor in Education) during his/her graduation.
  • If the applicant has not done graduation from a recognized university, he/she must have done a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) from any recognized institute.

Assam TET 2020 Exam Pattern

  • Exam mode: The exam will be in Offline mode (Pen and Paper).
  • Paper Language: The medium of the paper is English, Hindi, Bengali, Assamese and Bodo.
  • Marks: PAPER- I or PAPER- II will be of 200 marks.
  • Time Duration: 3 hours will be given for PAPER-I OR PAPER-II.
  • Marking: No negative marking.
  • Type of Questions: Objective type (MCQ).
  • Each question in the paper will be of 1 mark.

Paper-I (Primary I to V) will hold for 200 marks and will contain 200 objective type    questions.

Assam TET 2020 Selection Process

Selection process is based on the performance of the candidates in the Assam TET Entrance Exam. There are two stages faced by the candidates to get appointed as a Teacher.

  1. Shortlisted: Candidates will be shortlisted according to the marks scored in the Entrance Exam of Assam TET.

Assam TET 2020 Admit Card

Assam TET 2020 admit card plays important role in the entrance exam, without admit card candidates will not be allowed to enter in the exam hall.

  • Admit card will be available in the month of august 2020.
  • To download the admit card, candidate must enter all the required details on the official portal.

Assam TET Cut Off

Assam TET Cut off or qualifying marks will be released by the authority after the declaration of result. Those candidates who will score above the cut off marks, they will be shortlisted for the next round i.e P.I (Personal Interview).

According to the previous year cut off trends, the cut off percentage for different categories is different. This is shown in the table below:

Assam TET 2020 Result

Assam TET 2020 result will be tentatively declared in the last week of October 2020.
