APTET 2020: Application Form, Dates, Eligibility, Exam Pattern

The APTET 2020 or Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test exam is organized by Department of School Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh. APTET is a State level Eligibility Test conducted in Andhra Pradesh every year in the month of May 2020.

Candidates who want to teach in the government & recognized private schools of Andhra Pradesh can appear in the APTET exam.

APTET exam is conducted for those candidates who want to get appointed as a teacher in Primary School (class I to V) and Upper Primary School (class VI to VIII).

APTET is conducted for two Papers. Paper-1 is for those candidates who are willing to become teacher for classes 1st to 5th, whereas Paper-2 is conducted for those who want to teach classes 6th to 8th.

The exam will be conducted in online mode i.e Computer Based Test (CBI) in 13 different districts in the state of Andhra Pradesh.

 APTET 2020 Application Form

Candidates can fill the APTET application form through online mode. The complete application details are mentioned below:

  • APTET 2020 Application Form will be available in the official website http://cse.ap.gov.in.
  • Application Form will start from 1st week of May.
  • Candidates need to fill all the required information carefully and correctly.
  • Candidates also need to upload scanned photograph and signature. Application with no photo/ unclear photo will be rejected.
  • Candidates must aware of all the rules and regulations mentioned in the official brochure.
  • Candidates must take a printout of application Form for future use.
  • Last date to submit application Form will be 3rd week of May.

APTET 2020 Eligibility Criteria & Qualification

Those candidates are going to apply in the Examination they must have to check their eligibility criteria that are mentioned below:-

Nationality

  • The candidates must be a citizen of India.

Age Limit

  • Age of the candidate must not be less than 18 years and not more than 40 years.

Educational Qualifications

Paper-1:

  • Candidates should have secured at least 45% marks in Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with –
  • Pass in or pursuing final year of 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).

Or

  • Pass in or pursuing final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.

Or

  • Candidates should have secured at least 50% marks in Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with pass in or pursuing the final year of 4-years bachelor of Elementary Education(B.EI.ED).
  • Relaxation of 5% or such percentage as permitted by Government at the time of admission to Teacher Education Course concerned in minimum qualifying marks at Intermediate / Senior Secondary level is admissible for SC/ST/Differently abled Candidates.

   Paper-2:

  • B.A./ B.Sc./ B.Com pass in or pursuing the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.

Or

  • B.A./ B.Sc./ B.Com pass with at least 45% marks and pass in or pursuing 1-year Bachelor in education (B.Ed) Course.

Or

  • B.A. / B.Sc. /B.Com pass with at least 50% marks and pass in or pursuing the final year of 4-year B.sc. Ed or B.A. Ed Course.
  • Relaxation of 5% in minimum qualifying marks in Intermediate/ Senior Secondary Level is admissible for SC/ST/Differently abled candidates. Also, relaxation in terms of the Government Orders given at the time of admission into respective Teacher Education Course in minimum qualifying marks at BA/B.Sc/B.Com is admissible for SC/ST/BC/Differently abled candidates.

APTET 2020 Exam Pattern

  • Exam mode: The exam will be in Online mode i.e Computer-Based Test (CBT).
  • Paper Language: Paper will be bilingual – English & Hindi.
  • Marks: PAPER- I or PAPER- II will be of 150 marks .
  • Time Duration: 2½ hours will be given to solve paper.
  • Marking: No negative marking.
  • Type of Questions: Objective type (MCQ).
