AFCAT Recruitment 2019: Air Force Common Admission Online Test (AFCAT) is a recruitment exam conducted by Indian Air Force (IAF). It is conducted to select officers for all its branches, except for the medical and dental branches. Indian Air Force conducts this exam for the recruitment of Commissioned Officer, vacancies for Grant of Short Service Commission (SSC) in Flying & Permanent Commission (PC)/Short Service Commission (SSC) in Ground Duty (Technical) and Ground Duty (Technical &Non-Technical) Branches through Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT). For all entries other than NDA and CDS candidates have to undergo AFCAT exam.
AFCAT 2019 will be conducted twice in a year. AFCAT 2019 Application form
AFCAT Notification comes in the month of December and June and last date to fill the application form is in the month of January and July respectively for both the exams of the year. Candidates can apply through online mode only through the official website of Indian Air Force.
The mode of payment is online and offline both. Candidates willing to pay online must pay through net banking of SBI branches throughout the country or by visa card/ credit card or debit card. Candidate’s willing to pay offline must take the print out of the receipt and visit the SBI Bank branch for further process anywhere in India.
The fee structure for male General and OBC candidates is Rs. 250/- whereas SC/ST/PWD/female candidates are exempted from paying the fees.

AFCAT 2019 Eligibility criteria
- Nationality: A citizen of India
- Educational Qualification: Candidates should have minimum of 60% marks in each Maths & Physics at 10+2 level, Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University or BE/B Tech from a recognized university with minimum 60% marks or equivalent.
- Age Limit: the minimum age to apply for AFCAT is 20 while the maximum age is 24 years.
AFCAT 2019 Exam Pattern
Exam Pattern gives us the idea about how the exam is going to be in respect to subjects and what would be the time period for each subject and accordingly start our preparation. The AFCAT written exam is conducted in online mode only and bilingual except English.
The total no of questions are 100 for other than engineer candidates while Engineer candidates have to appear in an additional EKT exam for which the number of questions would be 50. Below is the detailed pattern.

AFCAT 2019 Syllabus

- Reasoning and military aptitude: this section tests the candidates verbal and numerical skills basic knowledge is required.
- General Awareness: the basic knowledge of the day to day happenings around the world.
- Quantitative Aptitude: this section is conducted to test the numerical ability of the candidate, the basic knowledge of the topics like time and work, average, boats and stream, percentage, profit and loss and so on is required.
- Verbal Ability: this section tests the comprehension and vocab knowledge of the candidate.
- EKT (Engineering Knowledge Test): the knowledge of technical branch is required.

AFCAT Admit Card 2019
Admit card is the important ticket for entering the examination hall. It is must to carry with the necessary documents. The admit card for the written exam of AFCAT comes in the month of August and February for the respective exams of the year. Candidates can download it through the online mode from the official website. To download the admit card candidate requires the registration no./ roll no.(the one generated while filling the form) and password/ date of birth.
AFCAT Result 2019
The AFCAT 2019 announcement of the result of will be done in the month of October and March for the respective exams of the year. The cut off for the written exam may vary as per the performance of the candidates in the written exam.
